Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Thimphu
- Enjoy the breathtaking mountain views on your flight to Paro, Bhutan.
- Upon arrival, be escorted by our representative to Thimphu, the capital city.
- (Optional) Visit Tachog Lhakhang, a 15th-century temple and hereditary place of worship for Bhutan’s Iron Bridge Builder, Thangtong Gyalpo.
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing
- Start your morning at Motithang Takin Preserve, home to the national animal of Bhutan, the Takin.
- Visit Changangkha Lhakhang, a 12th-century fortress-like temple offering panoramic views of Thimphu.
- Immerse yourself in Bhutanese culture at Simply Bhutan, a “living museum” showcasing traditional life.
- Explore the vibrant Centenary Market, brimming with local crafts, textiles, and cuisine.
- Ascend to Kuenselphodrang Nature Park to witness the massive Buddha Dordenma statue, one of the world’s largest.
- (Optional) Pay your respects at the nearby Hindu Temple.
- Conclude the day with a leisurely stroll through the Thimphu Craft Market and the city center.
Day 3: Thimphu – Punakha
- Enjoy breakfast and depart for Punakha, a fertile valley situated at a lower altitude than Thimphu.
- Take in the breathtaking scenery as you traverse Dochula Pass, adorned with prayer flags and stupas.
- Visit Chimi Lhakhang, a temple built on a hillock and believed to bless childless couples.
- Experience the grandeur of Punakha Dzong, the winter residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot).
- Take a walk across the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan, offering stunning river views.
- In the evening, explore Punakha town at your leisure.
Day 4: Punakha – Paro Sightseeing

- Travel to Paro Valley and visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in the kingdom.

Day 5: Paro Exploration
- Choose your adventure:
- Hike to the legendary Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), a UNESCO wonder clinging to a cliffside.
- Alternatively:
- Drive to Chelela Pass, the highest motorable pass in Bhutan, for breathtaking Himalayan vistas.
- Explore the National Museum housed in Ta Dzong, showcasing Bhutanese artifacts and textiles.
- Visit Rinpung Dzong, an impressive fortress with a rich history.
Day 6: Departure
- Bid farewell to Bhutan! Our representative will escort you to Paro International Airport for your departure flight.
