Day 2:  Unveiling Bhutan’s Treasures

  • After breakfast, visit the majestic Kuenselphodrang Buddha Dordenma, a giant Buddha statue overlooking the city.
  • Capture breathtaking panoramic views from Sangaygang viewpoint.
  • Explore the fascinating Motithang Takin Preserve, home to the unique national animal, the takin.

Day 3:  Journey to Punakha & Wangdue

  • After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3,088 meters).
  • Witness the panoramic Himalayan vista adorned with 108 chortens (stupas) at Dochula Pass.
  • Catch a glimpse of the majestic Wangdue Phodrang Dzong from the roadside.
  • Visit the charming Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple with a unique history.

Day 4: River Rafting in Punakha Valley

  • After breakfast, travel back to Paro via Dochula Pass.
  • En route, stop at Simtokha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s oldest fortresses.
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch at your hotel in Paro.
  • Visit the National Museum housed in the historic Ta Dzong watchtower.
  • Take a stroll down to the majestic Rinpung Dzong, “Fortress of the Heap of Jewels.” (Overnight in Paro)

Day 6: Hike to the Tiger’s Nest (Optional)

  • Choose an adventurous hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger’s Nest. (Approx. 5 hours round trip)

Day 7: Farewell from Bhutan
